True Image 2021 - No access to files from windows explorer

Thread needs solution

In True Image 2021, I can see the backups in Windows Explorer, but when I try to open the backup file, I get a window without listing the backup. This is only the case when I log in with the standard user. If I am logged in as admin user, it works.

it's not a rights issue though, I checked. In addition, with True Image 2015 I can also access individual files of the backup as a standard user with the file manager.

Gerd, all versions of ATI including 2021 require Administration authority and should be run from an administrator level account for correct operation and privileges.  This is stated in the ATI 2021 user manual:

Other requirements

  • You need to have administrator privileges to run Acronis True Image 2021.

Off course, it is necessary to run True Image as Adminastrator. This is true at least since I use True Image (2014). But until know it was possible to read the content of the tib-Files in Windows Explorer as standard user The manual of True Image 2021 also tells this in Chapter 3.7 Windows Integration.

Sorry but there is no mention in Chapter 3.7 Windows Integration of this feature / function being available for non-Administrator users (and no reference either to only using this as Administrator as highlighted in my earlier post from the System requirements section).
