What product from the current lineup performs backup to Acronis Cloud without the Active Protection modules installed?
Hi.
I use Acronis Trueimage (now rebranded) to backup some PC's to Acronis cloud. With the introduction of Active Protection I had the same issue many people described already, but turned it off and just tried to ignore it since the backup part works rather well.
Recently I had to add a new, less powerfull PC to the backups and then I felt the impact of Active Protection service. Turned off drains lots of resources. Turned on, it's even slower.
I checked the Acronis product lineup and added Acronis Cyber Protect Standard to my licenses since it seemed to allow a more granular control of what was put on the device being protected.
I work in IT workplace area and feel comfortable using the Cyber Protect console but feels a bit clunky and overkill to do so just to manage a single home PC that I just want to backup.
I've checked the several options from Acronis but I seem to be unable to find one that just backs up home user's data to Acronis Cloud and that does not have the Active Protection truckload of components.
Is there such product on the lineup and I'm missing something on all the information available, or Active Protection is present in all home products that backup to Acronis Cloud?

Hi Ian.
Thank you for the feedback. I will just keep the Cyber Protect extra license for a bit longer and then see how the Acronis home concept evolves next year.
Even when searching for this additional license, I was a bit confused comparing the Cyber Protect vs. Cyber Backup products. At first I assumed one had Active Protection and the other did not and was a pure backup product with 50 Gb of cloud storage, but looking closely and even the Cyber Backup only option has "Acronis Active Protection (Ransomware and crypto-mining protection)" but not "Antivirus and anti-malware protection".

It's a really awkward product naming/concept.

Alex, the naming of products is more than a little confusing. I find the new name for True Image forgettable.
