Windows core protection, simple solution

Thread needs solution

Windows 10/11 core protection is important part of malware protection built in to Windows. Unfortunatelly ACPHO driver tib.sys is not compatible with it.

But there is a simple, quite safe way to make work around:

Run regedit.exe, locate following registry folder:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\tib

Right click name "tib" on right pane registry tree, choose "Delete".

If you want to, you can do "Export" before you delete the driver entry from the registry.

Then enable Core protection and restart your computer. That's it.

If you want to revert this, either import your exported registry entry, or do repair install to ACPHO.

tib.sys is not much needed by general users!!

When you install build ACHO build 40107 30-August-22, you select which parts of ACPHO to install (the bottom selection) - if you untick Try & Decide it will result in being able to activate core protection.
