I Check the disk management the hard drive shows up as 746 gb with no unallocated space how do I get this back to the 2.75tb. The program I used was Acronis disk Director 12

Hello, Peter

If you have initialized the 3TB disk as MBR, then you need to convert it to GPT and format to NTFS file system.

To do that,

1. Launch Acronis Disk Director;

2. Right-click the 3TB disk (but not its partition) -> Select "Convert to GPT";

3. Delete the Fat-32 volume;

4. Create 3TB volume with NTFS file system.

If your disk is GPT with FAT-32 file system, then you need just to reformat it to NTFS file system and extend the volume to 3TB.

Best regards.
