Change Letter not available on USB drive
Build 2121, OS Windows 7 32bit
The option to change the drive letter is not listed for a USB (thumb) drive.
OS app Disk Management offers it. Minitool Partition Manager offers it, and changing the letter seems to work fine.

Screen shots & report attached.
There are two screen shots of Disk Director. One shows the options available when C drive (SATA) is selected. You will see that Change Letter is there in the list. The other screen shot is when J drive (USB flash drive) is selected. Change Letter is not in the list of actions available. The same is true if I select my other USB flash drive, drive letter R in the list.
The attached System Report is from True Image 2011. The DiskDirector option to "Collect System Information" does not work. Amongst various cmd windows it launches, it opens the OS builtin app System Information, which just sits there open. When I close it I get various "Failed to generate report" messages in one cmd window.

Hello ddk,
Thank you very much for your detailed response.
I have checked the diagnostic information and this could be a known issue in our software. Before forwarding the system report and the screenshots to our Development team could you please try 2 more things:
1. If you have another USB drive could you please try it?
2. Could you try performing this operation from ADD11 bootable media?
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.

I have tried several USB flash drives, different makes. Same issue.
A standard hard drive with USB connection however does show Change Letter.
Booting from bootable media displayed the same issue.
