DD 10: Merging two primary partitions hangs with 35 minutes to finish now for hours

Hello,

booted from emergency disk, i have started merging process with c: windows 7 ntfs system partition (green flag) and a second data partition without operating system(red flag). The data partition will be integrated in the windows partition. Windows part. was about 50 GB with 13 GB free space and data partition 247 GB with 25 GB free space. Now in virtual mode c: is about 298 GB with 53!? GB free space (green flag). The process will not finish since yesterday 4 p.m.
What should i do? Ending process brings the question do you really want to stop? I dont know. What will be then with my data? The HDD in the PC still seems to work. Is it realistic, that the process needs so long to finish?
If someone wants to answer in german, it will be nice. But in english it is also ok, because i unterstand better than i write/speak.

It can take a long time. It depends on how much data needs to be moved. Is the drive access light showing high or moderate activity? If it is, I would give it some more time and see if it finishes.

I hope you created an Entire Disk Image backup prior to starting the Merge procedure. If the Merge fails or is aborted, there is a good chance of corruption on one or both partitions involved.

thanks for your reply.
On Sunday 7.00 p.m. the process has been finished without errors.
It really needed a long time.
I had not enough space, to create such a big Image. This was the reason to use the merging feature.
