DD Unfinished resize broke my partition

Thread needs solution

Hi. So... i wanted to resize a partition, i had some unallocated space next to it. DD asked for reboot, then after reboot it said that there were some errors during resize operation and thats it.

Now that partition i wanted to resize became "unformatted" and with different size. And i cannot start windows because some important installed stuff were on that partition and windows just BSODs on loading even in safe mode.

What do i do? I tried to run acronis automatic recovery tool but it didn't find anything (obv because the partition is not deleted, it is just broken)

I totally do not want to format everything and reinstall windows.

If you have TrueImage or other imaging software, make a sector-by-sector image of your entire disk for safekeeping before doing anything else. Best practice is to restore this image to a spare hard disk and do all of your experimenting on the spare disk. If you don't do this, it would be prudent to try data recovery software if you had any valuable personal files on the disk, before attempting the next step.

Once you have a backup and perhaps have recovered some of your personal data, your best bet for recovery is to use Disk Director to delete the damaged partition, leaving it as unallocated space. As far as I know, the delete partition operation only removes the entry in the partition table and does not delete any data on the partition. Finally, use the Recovery Expert tool to search all of the unallocated space on the disk for evidence of a former partition. If it finds suitable evidence, it will reconstruct the proper entry in the partition table.
