DD10 Build 2239

Thread needs solution

I had understood Acronis were getting ready to release a new version of DD so was a bit surprised to find a new build of DD10 was now available, so I installed it - and immediately had to uninstall it as any attempt to use the Edit functions prompted an immediate reboot. This was so in both the installed and rescue media modes.

Uninstalling it also uninstalled TI 2010 without telling me it was going to do so, so thank you Acronis! This looks a right screw up.

Bernard:

Good to know about the behavior of the Windows version of build 2239. This is consistent with the behavior of the bootable version of this build as reported here. At the moment I'm glad that I tried the bootable version first, and then decided not to install the Windows version.

Build 2,239 has some serious problems. It makes me wonder why Acronis hasn't pulled it or released another update. If it were TI, it would have been pulled. It also makes me wonder if they released the build just to block installation on Windows 7 since they're planning on releasing DD 11 at some point. However, releasing a "update" that causes more problems than what you're updating doesn't make sense (except to Acronis).

Personally, I'm sticking with 2,160.
