Disk Director 11 build 11.0.2343 doesn't recognize my external hard drive

hello!
I just bought an hitachi touro 2tb usb3 external drive.
I tried to make partitions with disk director 11 build 11.0.2343 but the program doesn't detect the hitachi drive!
What can i do to fix this?

Is it from Windows or from the DD CD that the drive isn't found?

Does the drive have any special formatting that might cause a problem? Some large external drives are not really seen in the normal sense.

The drive isn't found using DD/Windows!

Does the drive have any special formatting that might cause a problem?

I don't think so! it`s formatted to NTFS

I really don't understand why DD doesn't identify it :(

Didn't see this thread as I had same issue. It wouldn't initialize through USB housing, but when plugged into machine directly Windows disk management allowed me to initialize and partition. Even then DD11 wouldn't see it, but Easus partition manager did. Guess where I'm going.

Yup, thats what im using (Easus) because it detects my external hard drive. Im noticing some people are facing similar problems with external hard drives and i hope Acronis can fix this issue!
