Disk size incorrect in windows 7

In disk director my new hard drive shows as 816.6gb but in windows it shows as a 141 gb.
how do i get windows to recognise the correct size.
i fit the new 1tb drive after cloning the smaller drive.

any help is greatly appreciated thanks

If you're referring to the partition size vs. the file system size, you may just need to do a slight resize of it. For example, resize it a bit smaller, then resize it back to full size. You should be able to use either DD or Disk Management for this.
