Dual boot Ubuntu & Kubuntu using OSS

Thread needs solution

I have 4 Operating systems on my system, WinXP, Win7, Ubuntu 10.10 & Kubuntu 10.10. I can select WinXP, Win7 and I have a Linux button. The problem I am running into is how do I get a separate button to boot Kubuntu and Ubuntu? If I select the Linux button and boot from that it takes me to Grub2 and then I have to select from that menu what Linux version I want to boot from.

Thanks!!
Terry

What version and build of DD are you using?

Are the Linux partitions formatted ext3 or ext4?

Normally, when installing multiple versions of Linux that you want to boot in isolation, you need to specify where the boot loader (GRUB) gets installed. For example, specify that you want it installed to the Kubuntu partition for Kubuntu. Sometimes this requires manually installing GRUB after Linux because the installer doesn't always actually perform the install correctly when options are changed from the defaults. Hiding other boot partitions prior to installation may also be necessary to avoid GRUB including them in its menu.

I am currently at work so I can't get the exact build but I am using DD11 and just downloaded it two days ago. Both my Linux partitions are ext3.

I will check into isolating them from each other and see what happens.

Any suggestions to links that have tutorials on doing this?
