Trying to install the Acronis Disk Director 11 Server. Built new virtual 2008 x64 server for acronis sw. After double click of ADD11A_12077_en-US.exe:

Msg popup: "runtime error" Program: C:\Acronis Disk Director 11\ADD11A_12077_en-US.exeThe application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unsual way. Please contact the application support team for more information.

Pls Help, need to increase the size of a primary drive on server and I can't even get the disk director 11 installed properly.

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here.  I understand your concern, and will be glad to assist you.

There can be many reasons for this issue, and the situation requires investigation, but before we proceed with obtaining the diagnostic information, I would like to offer you a workaround.

Usually it's recommended to perform all resize operation from the bootable media, not Windows. You can obtain this media without installing the product, just follow these steps: 

  1. Register your product on Acronis website
  2. Download the updated ISO from your account
  3. Burn it onto the CD
  4. Boot you machine from the CD created and proceed with the resizing

I get the same problem on 3 different PCs using 3 different OSes! I can't believe this isn't fixed yet. Please hurry. No, I'm not posting logs. You should be able to replicate the fault very easily.
