Vista and Windows 7 Won't Boot After DD/OSS Update
I recently updated from DD 10.0 b2160 to b2288. To do this I had to uninstall Disk Director and OSS first, then run the b2288 installer. Once I did this and DD/OSS re-installed, neither Windows 7 nor Vista will boot from the OSS menu. Other OS's (Windows XP XP3 and Ubuntu) boot just fine. OSS "installed" to FAT32 partition. All 4 OS's appear in the OSS menu, but only Windows XP and Ubuntu boot correctly. Need some help fixing this.

BOOTWIZ.OSS file attached as BOOTWIZ.TXT
When Vista selected from OSS menu, I see the initial screen that has the progress indicator and the (c) MS Corp, the hard drive shows activity for a few and then the machine completely reboots as if I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL.
When Windows 7 is selected from OSS menu, I see the initial splash screen that says "Starting Windows", hard drive activity continues for a few more seconds and then it stops - stops DEAD. No messages, errors, etc.
Yes, Vista and Windows 7 are setup to boot from their own partitions (to the best of my knowledge). It's been a while since I set this system up, but I seem to remember going thru a painful process to insure that Vista and Windows 7 were independent of each other.
Thanks for your help.

Due to a bug in OSS, the reinstall didn't correctly set the Active OS partitions as unhidden. I corrected the entries and attached the updated file. Please try it and see if it boots Vista and Windows 7 correctly.

Yes, just after I posted my last reply, I too found the Active OS partitions marked as hidden for Vista and 7. I manually edited my OSS file and bingo - everything working again. Thanks for your help!
It seems that I have run across this same problem before. Matter of fact, we probably "spoke" when this form was on the Wilders site. Seems like Acronis is SLOW to fix bugs with OSS. Too bad.
Seems to me Acronis could cut down on the volume of these types of posts if they would fix the product for which everyone has paid for.
Nuf said.
