Volume with system (C) won't resize to take unallocated space behind it.

Thread needs solution

I have a 1TB drive in 4 partitions.  I want to take some space from the partition adjacent to C and add it to C.  In Acronis Disk Director 11 I set up the operation, but when the computer reboots to execute, I get an error message.  It says Error occurred:  Text: The command uses a missing object.  Code: 000000000000000000360198 441E730962703F63    Suberror:   Text:The command contains an incorrect ID  Code:00000000000000000360197 58A1AE92511B0306     Press <Enter> to reboot.    When I reboot, the computer restarts, but the resizing has not been done.  Any ideas?

Hello Dan,

Is your drive encrypted with Bitlocker or similar software? If yes, I'd deactivate encryption and re-attempt the operation.  If the issue persists, you can workaround it with using Acronis Bootable Media instead of a desktop version of Acronis Disk Director.

Thank you,

Thank you for your response.  I have no encryption on my drives at all.  I will try the bootable media workaround.
