Where to put BOOTWIZ

Thread needs solution

I intend to run multiple OSs on this PC, and multiple instances of the same OS.  Where should I put the  BOOTWIZ folder?

The PC IS running Windows XP.  It has one internal hard drive which is partitioned into primary drive C and logical drive D; data is stored on partition D.

I plan to download DD Suite 10, Build 2160 and store file DiskDirectorSuite10.0.2160_s_en.exe in a folder on the internal hard drive.

When I run install I plan to select Custom installation and install Bootable Media Manager; reboot the PC and install OS Selector.

Where should I put the BOOTWIZ folder? I expect to be adding and deleting OSs on this PC. What if I put BOOTWIZ in C:\Program Files\Download\Acronis?

It's best to install OSS into a non-OS partition. You could use your Logical D: partition, for example. Having the files on a non-OS partition allows you to restore your OS partitions without bothering the OSS files.

Thanks MudCrab,

I shall create a logical partition U for Utilities off primary partition C, and put BOOTWIZ there.

Please advise if you think otherwise.
