SMART monitoring does not see any drive and reports monitoring as disabled

500GB Seagate ATA drive, previously working fine with disk SMART monitoring, recently is not being seen by Drive Monitor software in SMART section. Drive Monitor reports that disc monioring is disabled. And there is no option to enable it of course. Does not see any USB drives as well.

It does not work with SMART only. While it shows backup statuses and critical errors off all partitions for all drives. Third party software reads SMART fine.

Tried to uninstall/reinstall software, cleaning Drive Monitor Application Data folder on All Users, and registry too. No luck.

Any ideas?

I am having a similar problem. My drive in question is a 500GB Seagate SATA drive as well as a Maxtor Sata Drive. My system also reports "Drive Monitor reports that disc monioring is disabled".

BUT I can take the drive out and reconnect it via a USB port and the SMART/Health information is available.
