Acronis Snap Deploy MC (build 3329) and Windows 7 images
Not sure where the specific breakdown is occuring.
Trying to do an image deployment on Dell Optiplex 960 PC's running Windows 7 64-bit.
We can create the image fine, where we are running into issues is deploying that image. When we go to create the template, we do not have the option of selecting user, domain, etc.
We can image the same machine running Vista 32 or 64 with no issues. Run into the same problem when imaging a Windows 7 laptop.
Is there something we are not doing, or doing, that is different for Windows 7 than for Windows Vista??
Thanks,
Keith

Keith,
I too was having issues with windows 7 image not allowing the prompts to change name, ip, domain, etc. I think I found what is giving snap deploy issues. Windows 7 by default will create a new partition on a hd where none exist. It also creates a 100 mb "system" partition, thus when you create your image you have to select two partitions. Everytime I tried to deploy the image with multiple partitions I never got a prompt to change domain, ip, sid, etc.
So I decided to try and install Win 7 on one partition. I used an old windows XP setup disc to create one partition, I only created the partition and formated it, I ejected the XP disc after it formated the partition (and before it began to install setup files). Next I installed Win 7 on the existing partition and low and behold all system, os files, etc. were installed on one partition.
After I personalized my image, I created a master that only had one partition, ran snap deploy to put in on another machine and I was given all the options to customize the setup! Worked like a charm.
