Message: Segment Receiver has failed

Thread needs solution

We are having some trouble with our Acronis server. Recently we have not been able to image computers from PXE. We can PXE boot, select the template we want, then the PC will go to the loading screen and sit there for a few mins. After that it will reboot with no image on the hard disk. I pulled this error from the logs:

Hello Joseph,

Thank you for using Acronis Snap Deploy 4.0 and using our forum.

I checked the attached log and found, that the deployment run into a timeout. It seems that the connection to the machine is lost or very slow. Please check if all necessary ports open, like described in this article from our knowledge base. Find more details about usage of network connections during deployment in this article from our knowledge base.

As workaround, please check if you can change from multicast to unicast method. Additional try to deploy in an isolated network segment because of most likely network traffic. This can cause the packets getting lost.

If this information does not help to solve your issue, I want to ask you to contact support. You should refer to this thread or provide the log to the support case. You will find more information about your support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else, we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
