Snap Deploy Standalone won't deploy image ("smaller than source image" error) to identical machine
We have 60 Asus 1001px netbooks running windows 7 professional. We're using the most recent build of the standalone snap deploy run off a CD (we've made our own and used the one we've downloaded from your site with same result) and the image on an external USB hard drive.
We've managed to make three different images (that contain all the partitions from the computers hard drive) on the external drive. (images passed verification)
When I attempt to restore from the CD/USB HD combination, I can select the image file but the restore fails almost immediately. In doing so, it nukes the local hard drive. The restore completes operation 1 and fails on Operation 2 of 3 (OS Deployment). It gives me the following error:
E00770021: Deploying operations is not finished successfully.
Failed to restore image to target disk 1. Possible it is smaller than source image. (0x330021) Tag = 0x100FE7C3207C544B
I've tried two different external hard drives, three images, and two boot CDs (yours and ours). The computers are all identical. The size of the hard drive is not smaller and I've run out of options. Does anyone know how to make this work?

Neil, did Acronis get this solved for you? I'm having the exact same issue.

I have the same issue and tried to post it here but received "Access denied". Kinda crazy.
Anyway, I can image a Dell Latitude E5510 laptop with Windows XP and I can image with Windows 7.
Problems arise when I attempt to put Windows XP over Windows 7 on the same machine.
So, XP to 7 works fine, but going from 7 back to XP does not.
Tried multiple images and multiple E5510's. Definitely an Acronis issue.

I am also having the same issue. If I do not deploy the backup partition the deployment works successfully. It is strange because the hard drives from my master and my slave PCs are exactly the same. Any help is appreciated

Hi! You may want to check out this discussion thread https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-snap-deploy-5/deploying-image-larger-drive-smaller Should the issue still persist, I'd recommend raising a support ticket for investigation.
