Standalone image across mulitple DVD's

Thread needs solution

I have an image that will not fit on a single DVD. Snap Deploy allows you to create images that span across multiple DVD's but I have been unable to restore a standalone workstation with the DVD's. Below are the steps that I have taken.

Image Deployment:
1. Booted up standalone workstation with Acronis 3.0 build 3470.
2. Selected Standalone Utility
3. Selected Appropriate DVD drive that contains DVD 1 of the image.

At this point Snap Deploy does not recognize the first DVD, stating that it is not a Acronis image. The 2nd DVD is recognized as a Snap Deploy image. I've attempted to install the 2nd disk and Snap Deploy indicates that it is working but it quickly finishes and the image on the disk drive does not boot up furthermore Snap Deploy does not ask for the 1st DVD.

I appreciate anyone assitance on this one.

Hello Max,

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here. I understand your concern, and will do my best to help you.

This issue requires investigation, but before we proceed with obtaining the diagnostic information I would like to offer you a workaround:

could you please place all the pieces of the image into one folder in any suitable for you location like HDD external drive, USB stick, etc, and re-run the deployment.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

I am having the exact same problem with Snap Deploy 3 Build #3501. I tried downloading the trial of Snap Deploy 4 and it too has the same issues. Obviously this is something that was overlooked in the testing of these products.

Is there any way that Acronis can investigate this problem? Using a USB stick is not an option for us. We need DVD media to work as advertised.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
