Which One to Buy? Backup & Recovery Server 11 or Snap Deploy?

Hello Everyone!
We are an IT service provider and want to include Acronis products in our disaster recovery services. After going through the website im having a few doubts about two specific products and hope that someone can show me the right way here.

1-We need all the features of Acronis Backup and Recovery Server edition.However i came across Snap Deploy 4 which i think can help me deploy OS images remotely, either through internet or a network (correct me if i am wrong). i think it would be easy for us if we could restore a clients operating system by sitting at our office.
Does Acronis Backup and Recovery Server edition has this feature? (if yes, then please guide me as i couldnt find anything, anywhere in the trial version)

(all our clients have a master system (networked to other systems) where HDD images are backed up to. i was wondering if i could connect to that main PC from office and restore the OS on say PC-1 through the master server without going onsite)

2-what kind of network config this would require. All the clients systems are connected to each other by a switch/router (within the same homegroup)

On which version to purchase...it dpepends on what you want it for. Acronis Backup and Recovery Server edition does image but there is a big difference between this product and the Snap Deploy. Server edition you would want if you wanted to perform regular backups---full, incremental and/or differential of your Windows Server and it is only for that one server unless you purchase additional licenses.

Snap Deploy is exclusively used to make a master image and then deploy it to other client machines. Again, you would need to purchase the appropriate licensing but this is a great product for this purpose.

I have used both versions in my work place environment and they are both good, easy products to work with. I prefer Acronis to that other popular brand just for it's ease of use.

You really do not need a special kind of network config to perform your imaging. There is a lot of documentation on the site here that easily describes the different ways to configure for PXE.

For more complex imaging requirements, you would have to do your research and use Acronis support and the forums here.

From what I am gathering from your comments, it looks to me like you may want to save money and just purchase the Snap Deploy 4 licenses. Once you contact one of the sales reps, get the rep and one of the Acronis engineers on a conference call to work out your needs. Ask a lot of questions and do your homework on your needs. You will want to ensure that you understand the licensing before you purchase because it is a little confusing...and get it in writing from your sales rep. That is what my company did and it has worked out nicely for us.
