ATI 2016/Win 10 V1803 settings not working...
Two Win10 V1803 (Spring Update), one Home, one Pro, it seems some Advanced settings are no longer working?
Specifically:
- Wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer
- Prevent the computer from going to sleep/hibernate
Basically it fails to do that and the backup doesn't start until the PC woken up or it doesn't stop the PC from sleeping and the backup stops until the PC wakes up.
Logs will show many hours for a backup that takes much less time.
I know it used to work, but can't determine when this 'broke'? Settings used in the attached screen capture.

Not using Fast Start... the PC's are on the 'new' High Performance one that came with later versions. It doesn't even have that option under the Power Button...
I may have switched to that one with that Spring Update? Not sure?
Never used that anyway with the SSD's on both PC's. Very little to be gained with it.

Steve, it appears it is possible that V1803 has enabled Fast Start? I Googled this, https://www.google.com/search?q=windows+10+1803+fast+start+setting&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1
and there appears be some complaints about it being re-enabled?
Worse yet, I can NOT find the setting to turn it off! I found this link, https://windowsreport.com/windows-10-fast-startup-dual-boot/ which is IDENTICAL to how I always would do that?
See my POWER BUTTON options I have?
Googling for more, I could be tied into Hibernate now? Not entirely sure, but if FAST START is the problem, I'm not sure how to disable it?
Suggestions? I know those ATI settings did work properly before?

Irv, on my systems I need to go into the Advanced Power Options settings where it is shown as Hybrid Sleep rather than using the term Fast Start.

Those are not really the same. Similar function, but one is for when the computer is on, the other when booting.
It seems 'older' versions of W10 did have the FAST STARTUP on the POWER BUTTON settings. Removed on V1803 it seems, at least on my PC?
I don't even HAVE Hybrid sleep showing?
Make no sense?
According to MS those are not the same either? See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/kernel/distinguishing-fast-startup-from-wake-from-hibernation
Yet when I run the power report:
=========
C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /systempowerreport
Sleep Study report saved to file path C:\WINDOWS\system32\sleepstudy-report.html.
=========
It does show I was Hibernating?
Ahh, fixed it!!! Ran C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /hibernate on
Then checked POWER SETTINGS for the Button, it is THERE and CHECKED on?
So, I guess I was NOT using FAST START? Or could it have been implied and used? Wondering if I turned off Hibernate before for some reason? I suspect the reason is that it is forced on the root of C: as that needs to be there due to the OS not able to read it anywhere else?
Pictures from when I looked before enabling Hibernate and the last 2 after...
Doesn't explain why the ATI settings didn't work though? I'll keep an eye on this...
I've now clearly removed FAST START though (screen shot before I turned it off), but Hibernate is still on... maybe that IS needed?

Just checked wife's PC, it does have FAST START enabled.
Since both PC's were experiencing the same problem it could be FAST START related. I've turned my PC's off for sure... we'll see what happens.
