Authentification setting for validating backup with UNRaid

Thread needs solution

I have a UNraid server inwhich I just backed up my main PC computer to.

The image file is 3T and due to a lopsided % of past Acronis backups being corrupt, I wanted to validate the backup.

I am running into the dreaded "Validation Settings" requester that will not except any name/password I throw at it.

Most google returns involve pointing the finger at Win10, UnRaid and Acronis.

I backed it up to that location easy but it refuses to validate?

The actual backup locations don't even appear to be the same.

Any help appreciated.

Now this is just getting even more frustrating.

I've given up trying to figure out what passwords I need to validate a backup on my NAS that didn't require passwords to backup.

So, lets just backup to an internal drive on the same PC.

NOPE!!!!!!

I drive on the same PC requires the same AUTHENTIFICATION SETTINGS to a long ago path on the network.

Seriously considering droping this software, a simple backup causing muliple problems.

Probably have a copy of Norton GHOST 1997 that would work or just use CloneZilla.

Welcome to these user forums.

Both of the issues you are describing are not ones that I have personally seen reported or have had any experience of encountering.

Please see KB document: 58004: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues Related to NAS Credentials and try the option for clearing the current stored credentials and setting any of these again correctly.

Ditto Steve here, it appears that you have old credentials held in a previous task which are contributing to the issue.  Clear out the stored credentials should address the issue.

Thanks guys, gives me a direction to hit.

I apologize for letting my frustration show but I was getting pretty worn down with things going sideways.
