BackUp Files need to be .jpeg and .psd and not some tbi format

Thread needs solution

Have Acronis Personal 2016.  New User Today.  Windows 7 OS.

I need a backup program that backs up my .jpeg and.psd photography files in their native file type formats on the destination drive.  To group several files out of a directory to archive...and have them BE ARCHIVED as a TBI? file.  I need to see the image and be able to visually verify that this is the file I backed up and now want to restore.   I DO NOT want to restore it back to the exact place where it came from... I just need archive access to it to bring it back as a visible photoshop file.  I DO NOT want the original file to be deleted when I archive it.

DO I HAVE THE WRONG Company and Software to be able to do this??

I want to copy my original file...keep the original where it is...archive a copy on another destination drive... have it be visible as a jpeg file at all times (not hidden inside some kind of tbi container hiodden away.  I dont want to rfestore the image to its original locatgion... I want to access it and import it into Photoshop.

1st Day user.  Im afraid I may have purchased the way wrong product that can not do a simple copy/archive.

Ray12, welcome to these user forums.

Sorry but it does sound as if you have purchased the wrong product if all you need is to backup exact copies without making any changes, using compression etc.

Acronis True Image Home is an imaging program, i.e. it creates a backup archive image file with a file extension of .TIB in which it stores all the selected files and folders using compression and with password protection if selected before the first backup is created.

There are a number of file / folder synchronisation programs available that will do what you are asking for, I use one called SyncFolders that can be downloaded from http://www.syncfolders.elementfx.com/

Please see article: How to get Technical Support where you can request a full refund of the cost of your purchase within 30 days of purchase.  Note: you may to contact the vendor if not bought directly.
