Backup will keep running and creating the backups repeatedly
I have True Image 2016, but did not upgrade to it until very recently. That is when this problem began. Previous versions have been working very well for me. Backups will begin as scheduled, but create several copies before it says it can't read from the file location. It does this with both drives that I backup and they start on different days. My 1 TB backup hard drive fills quickly.
Please help me to correct this, or should I go back to my 2015 version?
Thank you, Larry

I am following your suggestions. I have also attached the Accronis portion of the System Report that I ran prior to posting this. I am shutting down as directed, but will not be able to re-install for a couple hours.
Thank you,
Larry

The errors are repeated for this task.
There are several points in the above logs.
1. Initially your backup image files for your backup tasks on two different drives wasn't being found - this suggests that either the drive letters or the drives have changed, or that backup files have been deleted outside of the Acronis application.
2. You encountered full disks on the two storage drives (E: and G:) and again it looks likes backups were deleted outside of the GUI to make room.
3. These errors are causing the failing tasks to be rescheduled far too frequently which is exacerbating the problems by triggering multiple backups for each day which can lead to filling the backup drives.
4. You are also creating repetitive reserve copy backups, which is where a number of the errors are being reported.
I would suggest that you should validate any of the above backup tasks and take the option to ignore any missing backup files that are flagged up.
I would further suggest doing a cleanup on your storage drives to remove any unwanted extra backup files that have been created, then attempting to create completely new backups to different folders and using different names.
If you still see the 'Failed to open data stream' errors after the above actions, then this may indicate that you are seeing a Microsoft VSS issue.
