Backups not being added to backup list?
As backups are created by Acronis 2016, they are not being added to the backup list in the application. When I try to add a backup manually by browsing to the location, selecting, and pressing "Add", nothing happens at all.
The backups are found when I boot from the recovery CD and run "Refresh". But this does not add them to the list in the desktop application.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.
The backups are saved to a USB connected 5TB Segate Drive. I am using Win10. Acronis 2015 was installed prior to updating to Win10. I have since installed the update to Acronis 2016.
I hope I am understanding what the program is doing, but let me run this by you. In the Acronis App window I should have a backup listing for each "FULL" backup. Is that correct? Or does it list every backup including the "incrementals"?
I have two listed in my window (only because I was successful in adding the second one manually) One dated 12/16/15 at the top of the window, and the second dated 11/25/16. Out in the directory on the USB drive I have two full backups each with several incrementals. One of those is a full backup from on 11/12/16 with incrementals of 11/18 and 11/25. The other is a full backup dated 11/25/16 with incrementals dated 12/2, 12/9, 12/16. (I am pretty certain the previous incremental and new full were the result of my running an additional full backup out of schedule.
So if my reasoning is correct, the system is working as it should, the only problem being I had to add the second backup manually because the system did not post it to the App as it should have.

I think your assesment is correct. I would add that if the issue persist with created backups (newly created backup tasks) are not added to the list I would report that to Acronis using the Feedback option available in the Help section of the GUI. Quite frankly I think your issue was the result of the upgrade from 2015 to 2016 and you should not have any more issue with this problem in the future.

James,
If ATI doesn't add a new entry when you add the second backup, it thinks that this backup is already tracked. ATI doesn't display backup files, or chains. It attempts to track coherent sets of backup files that could be part of the same task. So if you have older backup files that have been produced by 2015, with 2 full backups and their incrementals, ATI might have determined they are part of the same backup task. I don't know what data is being used to determine that, probably the name of the files and the content of the archives.
