Cannot login during TrueImage 20167 startup

Thread needs solution

I've reinstalled TrueImage 2016, after an aborted trial of Acronis Cyber Protect. I can start the product, and I even entered the serial number to authorise it. However, when I try to login, I get a message saying "An Error Occurred while signing in. Please try again later." with a link to view a knowledge base article (which ccontains no useful info). I'm entering the correct userid and password (the same credentials I use to post this message). I've tried and tried to login, and always get this message. Before my Acronis Cyber Protect trial, I had TrueImage 2016 installed, and I had managed to sign in  then.

Please ensure that you are trying to install the final build # 6595 version of ATI 2016 and if you still have an issue, then you will need to perform an offline activation of the product.

The other option, if you have a backup from ATI 2016 from before your ACPHO trial and when ATI 2016 was working correctly would be to recover that backup to your PC.
