Can't open .tib files

Thread needs solution

Since upgrading to 2016, I can no longer open .tib files to access there contents.  If i click on the file, nothing happens.  If I slect open the file from menu, nothing happens?  I can mount the file and access it that way, but have always opened by clicking and now can not.  Any thoughts or cures greatly apprciated.  Running Win 8.1 on the effected system.  Win 10 system running 2016 does not have this problem.

My recommendation would be to run the 2015 TI Cleanup utility (my signature link 4 below) and then do a fresh re-install.

This will uninstall the exiting TI and also delete all backup tasks (but not affect actual tib backup files)

Hi GroverH Just to be clear are you saying clean uninstall TI 2015 then install TI 2016 over the existing 2016 and should 2016 be uninstalled also ???

The 2015 cleanup utility (refer my signature item #4 below) will uninstall all Acronis programs so none will be installed.

Repeat the 2016 version install which will be recognized as a clean fresh install requiring the input of appropriate serial numbers.
