Change File Password
In Acronis 13 on windows 7 I installed it on my main computer, backup to a replacable drive on another computer, and also backed up files from a third computer as well as local file. Getting all my networked pictures and putting the backup in one place. Worked fine.
Since I've updated to Acronis 2016, the problem is I had to change the password on my third computer, will call media. Not when the backup starts it says "Access to the file or folder is denied." I see a place to change the password for where I'm backing up my files, but no where to change the network folder for some of the files I want to backup. Where do you change the password?
Do you need to have password protection on these files? Given they are as you say pictures password protection probably is not necessay.
Since it sounds like these folder/files are stored on networked locations if you do not need password protection for them youj can turn off the requirement for password protection in Windows Network and Sharing Center.
Open Control panel, then open Network and Sharing Center. On the left side of the window locate Chanage advanced sharing settings and open by clicking. In the resulting screen look for Password protected sharing, expand it by clicking the chevron on the right side and then choose Turn off password protected sharing.
