Clone Disk Problem

Thread needs solution

I was using the clone disk tool in ATI 2016 on two disks that were both unencrypted. Because there was another bitlocker disk on my system (that had NOTHING) to do with either the source or the target of the clone, the Windows ATI 2016 tool refused to do the clone.

I had to do it from boot mode instead.

Not sure that this makes any sense to me.

Can this be fixed?

Hello, David

Thank you for reporting this issue. The development team has been informed.

For now, I'm afraid there is no solution other than using the bootable media.

David, I have looked into this issue, and it turns out that this is actually by design. This is because when True Image needs a reboot to complete an operation, it has to overwrite the Master Boot Record, and this can lead to unpredictable consequences on a system with BitLocker enabled.
