Drive Cleanser stopping right before the end

Thread needs solution

I'm on build 6027 and I've used Drive Cleanser for wiping two sata hard drives, one is 750gb, one is 2tb. However in both operations, while they seemed to run successfully for ~1.5 and ~3 hours respectively, but the operations each stopped with "less than 1 minute" to go (status window screenshots attached.)

I believe that this is a Windows issue and not an ATI problem.  When wiping a hard drive, ATI is writing random data to the disk.  Windows interprets this as a software program creating a really big file and Windows might need the remaining disk space for file overhead info.  I have used a software program called "Eraser" to wipe disks.  As it near completion, I usually get a disk almost full warning from Windows.

Personally, I believe both of your disk wipes were successful even though they didn't get all the way to the end.

Thanks FtrPilot. If that's the case, there's got to be a better way than Acronis employing a process that Windows can't fully handle and leaves the task appearing unfinished and open ended, particularly such a sensitive task, without any further information.
