Event Viewer Error

Thread needs solution

I have noticed this error in Event Viewer each time a backup starts.

Running win 10, Acronis 2016, build 6559.

Any ideas as to the cause and how to get rid of it?

I think you can ignore the error if backups are actually running and showing successful.  Googling this capi2 error shows this occurs under all sorts of different scenarios in Windows.  However, a few reference to Microsoft VSS which is volume shadow service and can occur even with taking sytem restore points in Windows - a possible recommendation is that VSS does not have the proper access for the network service in Windows, but I didn't did too much so you'd have to research a bit more.  Acronis uses VSS  as the default method to backp (if you turn off VSS Acronis will use proprietary Snapapi backups technology instead) so if there are underlying VSS issues on the system, it could be the reason that a backup would produce this message in the logs.
