How to remove Secure Zone?

Thread needs solution

I created an ASZ on the ssd in laptop.  Recently, I had to restore my system partition from the backup.  Now ASZ refused to back to ASZ, it tells that 0kb of free space.  I was trying to remove ASZ and recreate it, but I don't quite see how to do it.  All Acronis documentation online refer me to 2010 and 2011 versions.

I tried:

Tools > More Tools > Manage ASZ

I have two options there: "Create" and "Size".  When I click "Size", i got error:

"True Image was not able to create partition on the selected drive."

Please help!  Thank you very much in advnace.

There are a number of ways to remove the ASZ from your system.

1.  Boot from the Acronis rescue media and do so from within that product options when shown.

2.  Open Windows Disk Management and select the ASZ partition from the partitions shown there and take the option to Delete Volume, then add the freed space back to the partition next to it by using the Extend Volume option.  Right-click on My Computer / This PC then select Manage to get to the Computer Management panel, then click on Disk Management from the options shown.

3.  Use a third party Partition tool such as Easeus Partition Manager, or AOEMI Partition Assistant etc to remove the ASZ and reallocate the freed space.

Thank you very much!  I tried 2 at first, but couldn't "extend volume" because that option was grayed out.  Had to go back to 1, and that worked!  Now backing up!
