How to restore Acronis True Image Home 2011 archive under Windows 10

Thread needs solution

Hi,

until now I saved my data under Windows 7 with Acronis True Image Home 2011.

Now I upgraded to Windows 10, but according to the compatibility table Acronis True Image Home 2016 is not compatible with archives generated with Acronis True Image Home 2011.

Has anybody here a good idea how I can restore my data from my network drive under Windows 10?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Reinhold

For whatever it's worth, I'm in the same position.  I have a boatload of backups created with 2010 and that is also not listed as compatible with 2016. Curious what would happen if I tried anyway, I did a small folder restore and it seemed to work just fine.

So then I tried a 240 GB restore of the last file of a 10 file incremental set which was a image backup of a 2 partition drive.  It seemed to run flawlessly.

So it might not work for some reason, but I haven't found that reason yet.  Perhaps someone else knows.

Also note that I have not tried the bootable CDs.

Bruce.

Keep your TI Recovery CD (same versions which first created the backups) and any restore will work best when restored from the TI Recovery CD.

2015 and 2016 are completely different than all prior versoins so you are comparing "apples & oranges" comparison.
