Integrate True Image 2016 in Ubuntu Live

Thread needs solution

Hi,

as the Recovery Tool of TI2016 comes integrated into a lightweight Linux live system, I wonder if it's possible to integrate it into a full Ubuntu live. Please guide me if this is possible.

Thanks,

Johannes

Johannes, I have never heard of anyone performing such an integration of the ATI Rescue Media with any Linux distro other than the one provided by Acronis directly.

Thank you Steve, I think I asked the wrong question. It doesn't have to be Ubuntu, I just want to have a Rescue Media with TI, a text editor and a file browser would be nice. Maybe it's possible to config the distro Acronis is using for their Rescue Media to make it start into a shell? Then I could run TI manually, or a text editor. A window manager and a file browser would be even better, but is this even possible?

Johannes

Johannes, take a look at the MVP Custom ATIPE Builder tool which creates a WinPE version of the Rescue Media that includes all you ask plus a web browser, PDF and image capture tool, etc.  This is what I use as my own default media. See link below.
