Message at Shutdown Still, & "Queued" status when manually starting backup

Thread needs solution

These are issues that I've had before that have not been resolved with recent updates. I STILL always recieve the "Acronis is quiting blah blah blah" message when shutting down, regardless of whether a backup is actually running or not. Also, when I try to manually force a backup by clicking the "Back Up  Now" button, it either reverts to "Queued" status and remains there, or does nothing.

Any fixes on the horizon?

As far as I am aware, this issue has been resolved by the latest build updates (6569 & 6571), and this is supported by the drop off in the number of posts reporting this issue since these were released.

From your description of getting 'Queued' status when you are trying to backup manually, it sounds like there is something left over in the scheduler that may be causing this other issue.

Please see KB document: 1859: Acronis Scheduler Manager and download the schedmgr.exe program utility, then use the Get list command to produce a list of all current scheduled activities in your system, you can then either use the task zap command to kill ALL such tasks, or else you can select an individual task using task N-n where N-n is the task identifier shown from the Get list command, i.e task 2-1, then you can delete that specific task using the task delete command.

Any zapped / deleted tasks will be rescheduled when you next run the backup task(s).

I went ahead and tried "task zap" and restarted Acronis. I see that now all my scheduled tasks are showing as uncompleted. They will now run on command, which is good. However, do I need to erase the existing backup files and start over, or will they continue to build on the existing incremental backups as directed?

Do not delete the files...ATI will use the existing files.
