Not enough space on drive for backup

Thread needs solution

Hi

I try to make a backup of one partition of my principal drive under Windows 10. This partition is 20 GB big but only 8 GB used. I try to make a manual full backup on an another disk format NTFS with 1,68 TB free space.

But, when I start my backup, True Image 2016 write a message saying that the target has not enough free space !!!

So, I click on "ignore" and the backup start and go well until the end.

The problem is when I queue many backup... because, when the first is finished, if I am not in front of my screen to click on "ignore", the queue is stopped because of this message !

One idea ?

You may want to re-select the source and destination in the backup task again - even if using the same locations for both.  Won't hurt and may help.

Also, in your backup task under the advanced tab, there are options to ignore errors (silent mode).  Ensure those are enabled.

Ok, it's a false good idea to ignore the errors...

Certainly, backups can enchainer without interruption but that does not explain why an expensive software is not working properly!

Thank you for your help.

And when I ignore errors in the advanced options, the backup abort.

And there is no support whis this soft !!!

What actual errors are you seeing here?

Download the Log File Viewer app from the link in my signature and use this to look at the full service log for your failing backup task and check for what other error messages may be given there.  Post copies of the logs if you want help in understanding them.

You may need to run CHKDSK /F /R against both your source and target drives to ensure there are no other issues at work here.
