Notification

Thread needs solution

Hi folks,

How are you? I would like to ask your help, please.

How can I turn on notification for scheduled back up?
F.e. - seeing notification if I haven't connected USB device in certain time? Or about missed back up?

Thank you in advance!

Dear Ekaterina,

Thank you for your answer and advises.
So, as I can see, there are no option to get pop-up notification?
Just by email and in case of insufficient space on the disk?

Not that I'm aware of.  However, manually start a backup so that it's running... then, in Windows 10, you can go to Settings >>> Notifications & Actions >>> Select which icons appear in the taskbar.

While a backup is running, you can then select Acronis  under these settings.  After that, whenever a backup is running, it will show up in your taskbar.  If it errors out, it will remain there with a red dot on the icon, but if it completes the iconshould disappear when it's done.   While it's running, you can hover your mouse over it to get a little details on the status of the backup job as well (like percent complete so far - however, it's not very accurate.)

There are a bit more in depth methods as well you could use.  You could create a scheduled task based upon a log invent (Acronis log from your computers application log).  Whenever that event is trigged (success or failue), you can have your scheduled task 1) send an email or 2)display a notification on your screen.  Sounds like you'd want #2 to occur, but you'll have to get your scheduled task setup correctly based upon the log entry for something like that to work.
