Problem with Database Acronis not working

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I am running Acronis True Image 2016 on a W10.

When i try to open the program i get the following error:
"Cannot create a database"

This error message is translated from German.

Please help me I cannot start or use Acronis.
And please dont tell me reinstall Acronis. I already did this.

Thank you, but it did not work. I can start Acronis now, but everything is gone.
This is literally a totally useless backup software if its not working.

The link you posted is already 4 months old and they still did not fix the problem??

Fabian, if you can start Acronis now without getting the database error, then your backup tasks should all still be present with only the task activity being lost due to the database problem.

I understand your frustration but unless the developers can reproduce this problem then it is very hard to produce a fix for why the database is getting damaged or corrupted.  As with all computer problems, there are very many different configurations, permutations and different applications all of which can be involved in the root cause of a particular problem.

If you do encounter this problem again, I would recommend using the Feedback Tool within the Acronis GUI in the Help section and submit an Acronis System Report to the developers which may help them to better understand why it has occurred in your case.

Please understand that this is not a formal route to Acronis Support, it is a user forum where other users try to help those who post here. I too am just a user of this product with no ties to Acronis.

Next time i will talk to Acronis i payed for the 5 Computer licence and they should help me.
