Unable to do update 6569 to 6571
Previous updates have been without issue for my Windows 10 Pro and Norton Security.
But repeated attempts to go from build 6569 to 6571 have failed even using elevated permission and with Norton turned off.
What's going on - how do I fix this?
Thanks to whoever can help.

I have the same issue. The installer gets about halfway done then quits saying "Update Failed" and when I click on View Details it says error "Access is denied".
I am running with elevated privileges and my AV software is disabled.
This is my first update attempt since installing Acronis True Image 2016 last month to replace my older version Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Craig, please see my earlier reply to Philip, the only other suggestion here is to ensure that any other security utilities beside AV are either disabled or configured to permit Acronis programs, as there have been some reports of this issue being caused by anti-ransomware / malware programs.

In addition to Steve's notes, some are having luck by first rebooting/restarting the system (don't shutdown - your PC may have fastboot/fast start active which will only hibernate the system - restart forces a full shutdown and start). This may be necessary if other Windows updates, patches or applications are pending a reboot to complete which may be locking files or preventing other updates to the OSS that ACronis needs (since it integrates with the OS and Microsoft VSS).
After reboot, download the full update installer from your Acronis account. Once downloaded, right click and "run as administrator". See if this allows it to complete.
If not, restart again (not shutdown). Fress F8 or whatever you need to on your system to get to safemode options and boot into safemode. ONce in safemode, try the install from the downlaod using "run as administrator" again.
If any of these work, please let us know so we can let others know too. Thanks.

Hello all,
We have had a progress in the investigation and found several causes for this issue. In order to understand the root cause please open the installation log. You can find it as follows.
Look for a message “MsiFileTrackerInstall64_file_tracker_api__I returned actual error code 1603” and “MsiVirtualFileInstall64_virtual_file_component__I returned actual error code 1603” in MSI log.
If FileTracker was found please reboot the computer, install and finally reattempt ATI 2016 update installation.
If VirtualFile was found, please try disabling antivirus and reattempt installation.
Thank you,
