Upgrade from Build 6027 to Build 6569

Thread needs solution

With Build 6027, Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit, I created the following files on DVDs:

1. Acronis bootable rescue media

2. Acronis Rescue Media Builder

3. Acronis Universal Restore [64-bit] Version 11.5.39003

4. Acronis True Image 2016 [64-bit]

5. Acronis System Report [64-bit]

Now that Acronis is running Build 6569 is it recommended, or is there a need to re-create any of these restore files?

Thanks.

User,

With build 6569, the media builder is included in the install package.  You don't need to download media builder.  However, it is recommended to create new rescue media since build 6569 rescue media includes more drivers.  ATI and System Report will be included when you create rescue media.  I am unsure about Universal Restore, as I have not used it.

Universal Restore is included as well in the recovery media if you already have it installed and run the bootable recovery media builder in Acronis True Image Home 2016.   However, the version of UR hasn't updated since 6027 so there's really no change there, other than the updated Acronis bootable media.

v6559 definitely has better driver support for newer hardware so I'd recommend it for that purpose alone.  But, if you're not planning to backup or restore to new hardware and your existing recovery media can see your hard drives and NIC already, you don't techncially need the newer bootable media.
