Using True Image to backup files in original format

Thread needs solution

Is there any way to setup True Image 2016 to backup files from my local drive to a network drive but keep the original format. I just have a bunch of MP3's on my machine machine that I'd like to backup as is onto my network drive and allow other machines to get to those files directly.

or would i need to use another 3rd party software, like Sync Back Free (someone else mentioned that one here)

Hi Kirk,

The answrer is know. Acronis will always create a backup file with a .tib extension that contains your content.  Sync software is what you want in this case - I use robocopy scripts (built into Windows) or the free version of All Way Sync to recplicate the same data in multiple locations.  Please be aware that replicating is not the same as a backup though.  A backup is your safety net that allows you to restore previous versions of data which may get overwritten and synched to both of your locations.  Together, backups and synchronization make for a much more efficient file/folder recovery and redundancy plan so I think it's a great idea to use both in tandum.
