2017 build 5554 empty directory

Thread needs solution

Have windows 10 toshiba 18" I7 laptop

I uninstalled 2016/reboot/use cleaning tool/reboot and installed 2017 build 5554

I have a 170Gb backup if I click on it it opens up into an empty directory but I can mount and un-mount ok

Reboot and I did a repair but still the same problem

I think you may just need to clearn the .tibmount cache.  Try the suggestion in this post as it has helped me with weird double clicking behavior with .tib files as well.

Thank you

I deleted 5 files in the database

after a reboot I can now read the backup file and mount/unmount

but now I have 3 files instead of 5 in the database so the cleanup tool did not do a good job

There are a couple of databases and cleanup options/tools.  When you say you ran the cleanup tool - did you use the informaiton form the post above, or the one that does a ful lAcronis Acronis applicationi cleanup and then reinstall everything from scratch?

If we're talking about the recommendation above, it's just a manual cleanup and files get recreated automtatically when Acronis is launched the next time - which sets things right again for the double clicking of .tib file issues.  You should always have something in that directory once Acronis has been launched after removing these files and rebooting.

Not to hijack this thread, but your suggestion above appears to have resolved my issues with mounting too. I was also having trouble browsing (would ask for the location of "1" and then come up blank). This appears to have fixed both issues, so please accept my thanks!

Best,

Philip

Thanks for the confirmation of the resolution in you rissue Philip.
