Cannot find version

Thread needs solution

TrueImage 2017. Am trying to restore from a backup recently created. When the backup file is selected get a message "Cannot find version 5". [Retry], [Cancel], [Browse]. I have copied the .tib file to another computer and tried to open it with TrueImage 2019 and get exactly the same thing. Have tried other .tib files with same result. In which case TrueImage is useless for the purpose it was purchased for. Have contacted Acronis and got no response. Have recommended this to several of my customers but never again. Have searched Acronis support and no record of this error message although both versions of their software clearly give it, no option given for support even chargeable. Any clues anyone? Second time I have put this query into a forum but cannot find initial one so even looks as though Acronis are deleting those they don't like.

Sorry but more information is needed to be able to understand why you are seeing the 'Can't find version 5' errors?

A screen shot of the file(s) involved would be a good place to start.

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool (link below) and use this to look at the log files for your recovery tasks - you are welcome to post either the log file as a file attachment or else copy / paste the contents if you need help understanding the messages shown in the log.

I can only see one post being created for your user profile and have never known Acronis to delete any topics other than those from spammers or containing abusive language or containing links to malware etc.
