Missed backup
I have TI 2016 and I have a client that I recommended and he purchased TI 2017. Both versions do not backjup if a scheduled backup is missed. For instance, if the computer is not on the day the backup is scheduled, or is turned on after the scheduled time, the backup does not happen. I've had TI since version 8. All the previous versions would perform a missed backup. I've tried both versions with "Run when the current device is attached" checked and unchecked. Neither will run a backup until the next scheduled backup. I've also tried deleting the history, still the same result.

Been there, done that. Doesn't help if the computer isn't turned on the day of the backup. This is an option available in most backup and image programs. It worked in the older versions of TI. Can't believe Acronis left this option out.

Ron, as far as I am aware this is still working but it would take me a couple of days to perform a test to prove this is so.
The only caveat that I am aware of is the involvement of Windows Fast Start on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 systems where there have been issues caused simply because Acronis was unable to detect a shutdown / restart because Fast Start effectively puts the system into a hibernation state then resumes it again. My understanding is that this issue was addressed in the latest 2016 build 6581 and in 2017 build 5554.

See forum post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/122215#comment-380743 where a statement was issued by Acronis on the same issue.

Since I'm running 2016 Build 6581, so this solution doesn't apply to me. Acronis doesn't seem to support other versions once a fix is found. I'm pretty sure my client has the latest version of 2017, but I will make sure. I have never been happy with Acronis support policies.

Ron, I would encourage you to open a Support Case for this issue and reference this forum topic plus the statement from Slava in the other topic I posted the link for.
ATIH 2016 and 2017 users now have upto 2 years of support (via email or live chat) from date of purchase, so it is not unreasonable to ask for a solution to this issue as it has been identified as a bug in the way ATIH handles the Windows Fast Start / Hybrid Sleep situation.
