TI 2017 Scheduling does NOT work

Hi,

I have set up a task to backup one drive to another internal drive and notify me by email. If I run the task manually, all is fine, the backup works and I get an email reporting success.

If I schedule the task to run in, say, 15 minuets, the backup fails and there is no email reporting failure.

If I then run the task manually, all is ok again.

I have checked that the "run when idle" option is unchecked.

I tried to get the log viewer in the sticky posting but can not see it attached.

Any ideas?

Please make sure that the Acronis Schedul2 Service is running on your computer as this is required for your scheduled task to run - open the Services.MSC to see the services, or go via the Windows Task Manager (right-click on the bottom task bar).

Thanks for the reply - sorry it has taken so long to respond but have been doing some tests.

I found the log viewer but when I run it, the logs seem to be from 8/6/2017 - 8 days ago. I was looking in the default source (C:\ProgramData\Acronis) for type schedul2. Should I be looking elsewhere or have I turned off logging somehow?

I checked that the schedul2 service was running and even stopped/started it again.

Now comes the weird bit - the scheduling seems to be working now. I will keep an eye on it and post back if there is still a problem.

Brian, if you use the Log Viewer. then select the Log Type: option, this will show the path to where the Schedul2 logs are stored, i.e. C:\ProgramData\Acronis\Schedul2 folder.
