usb 3.1 and usb c

Thread needs solution

That's not entirely accurate - it depends on your hardware and whether or not the drivers for that hardware exist in the default Acronis rescue media which is Linux based.  You should consider building WinPE rescue media instead.  Windows 10 ADK will have the necessary drivers and/or you can include them when building winpe rescue media.

Take a look at the sticky Sticky: MVP Tool - CUSTOM ATI WINPE BUILDER

Things are complicated with USB 3.1 support as some motherboards have some ports 'controlled' by the chipset (for example the z170) and others by a separate controler chipset (frequnty from ASMedia). So, you may have the Intel driver but not the ASMedia driver in the recovery media. Try using a different USB 3 port. I suspect that this used to happen with USB 3 when it was new. Not sure if USB 3 ports controlled by a USB 3.1 chip will work or not - depends on the USB 3 driver.

My only system that has USB 3.1 is my test rig, and it has AMD chipset so things would be different to most users who would have Intel chipset. I had trouble with that one as the Windows 7.1 installation media did not support USB 3, so my USB 3 DVD/BluRay did not work - had to use an old USB 2 one.

is it what is necessary to expect a new version of Acronis for the usb3.1?

Francois, as you are already on ATIH 2017, you should be seeing further updates that may include support for new hardware including USB 3.1 devices, but as indicated by the other MVP's above, you may also need to create the Windows PE Rescue Media and inject your own specific USB 3.1 device drivers to this if your particular manufacture / brand of hardware is not included.  The MVP Custom ATI PE Builder tool is the easiest way to inject additional device drivers.

where does one find this tool?
how to make?

the only one hard drive sold is "la cie ub3.1"

i prefer that you that in a nex version

Francois, look at the links in my signature below - it is shown as MVP Tool - CUSTOM ATI WINPE BUILDER there.

i have this winpe but i do know what to do with it

Francois, the first thing is that you need to download and install the Windows 10 ADK that is required for WinPE media.

The easiest method, assuming that you do not already have the ADK installed, is to click on the Tools icon (4 small squares) in the main ATIH GUI, then on the Rescue Media Builder.

When you have the Rescue Media Builder window open, click on the second option for WINPE-BASED MEIA WITH ACRONIS PLUG-IN.  If you do not have the ADK installed, then you will be directed to a download page and should download the ADK installation file (about 3GB in size).

When installing the ADK only the top 3 options need to be selected to install.

Once you have installed the ADK, when you try the same options (as above) again, you will then see a choice of where to create the PE media.  If you have a USB stick you want to use, then it should be plugged in before getting to this page.

The above steps will create the default Acronis WinPE Rescue Media which is a prerequisite for using the MVP Custom ATI WINPE Builder tool as the tool uses the same Acronis builder tool.

To use the MVP tool, download the zip file and extract to your local disk drive, then run the main script program as Administrator, then follow the menu prompts that are shown.

 prefer to expect the updates.
I took again another hard drive 3.0 while waiting.
it is simpler for me.
I gave my hard drive 3.1 to the wall cupboard.

That may be a long time. It really depends on the Linux kernel default drivers and if it's a third party driver for a controller. If you create WinPE rescue media, chances are Windows 10 adk already has the divers, but if not, you can supply them for the WinPE. It's completely up to you though to wait or not. Example, ask anyone using a hardware RAID, never has been a default rescue media that has those drivers because they are third party and not part of Windows or Linux (in most cases, by default).

i have no usb 3.1 drives, but the media did work with a USB 3.1 video adapter on a dell ultrabok wchich makes me think it's could be the controller in your particular system that Linux rescue media doesn't have drivers for.

At a minimum, submit feedback through the app with your USB 3.1 drive arrached to the system and submit a system report with it. That should give developers an idea of the device and drivers that might be needed if they can include them down the road.

please do it

i do no know how to do

thanks

There is nothing we can do for you here - it's the user forum (those of us who have posted are users like you - MVP's just post a lot so we've been noted for that as we try to help where we can).  Unfortunately, it is against Micorosft Licensing to distribute pre-made WinPE or any Microsoft Operating Systems (winpe must be made on a local machine that has an valide Windows license already).  This is why Acornis distributes pre-made Linux media instead (it's open source).

However, Acronis also provides a method to build winpe rescue media with acronis, but you must install the Windows ADK yourself first. Steve has provided the outline steps to do this up above in comment #8
