Acronis Active Protection
Hello,
Seems Acronis Active Protection doesn't like QNAP Qsync Client as I keep getting a warning notice (to allow Qsync) every time Qsync runs.
I have created an entry for the application itself within Managed Permissions list and within Active Permissions Settings I have Excluded the folder where Qsync Client saves it's syncing data, yet I still get the prompt to Ignore or Allow for 1 hour every time Qsync starts.
What have I missed to stop the annoying Ignore or Allow for 1 hour prompts?

Lee, I just got the same "Ignore or Allow for 1 hour prompt". However, I got it while using Windows Explorer to delete an old .tib file. So, my theory is that some operations (such as deleting a .tib file) will generate the prompt, even if the program is "white listed."
My best guess is that you will have to live with the prompt, or turn Active Protection off when running Qsync Client.
You should report this directly to Acronis and see what their response is.
I wish I had a better answer.

I think that Steve's solution is likely to work - I have found in the past that that was what was needed. (Not sure about the syntax of the last sentence but I think it is OK.)

The first thing that I've discovered after installing TIB 18 is that if you turn off Active Protection, it's just like 17 in that it starts giving you irritating popups that tell you that Active Protection is not available...I already know that Active Protection is not available because I turned it off.
That brings up my next subject...Has Active Protection been reworked since the 17 version? I will have to wait for some positive statements by someone using 18 who has it turned on and who does not experience major system slowdowns and/or errors.
Will wait to see what results come in because I love the rest of TIB.

John, AAP is into version 2 with ATIH 2018 from what I understand - I have been running it since the Beta of this version and continued with the public release and all with no issues on my computer.

I have not seen such messages. You do get such a message if you temporarily disable active protection. The procedure for disabling active protection is not as obvious in ATI 2018 as it is in ATI 2017. I need to do so yesterday when backing up some *.tib files to an external drive (eSATA).
