Acronis True Image for Crucial 2018 cloning...

Thread needs solution

Hello, I used this to "successfully" clone to my new 1 TB Crucial SSD because that's what I was instructed to do in the SSD instructions.  So I'm assuming I'm posting this in the right forum for that...?

(As a side note its quite disappointing that SSD companies immediately point you to simply running the software in windows and cloning when apparently its strongly advised against per this thread: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-true-image-2017-forum/important-cloning-how-not-do )

But back to my issues.  After the cloning was complete it instructed me to remove the source and install the cloned drive "in its place".  Right or wrong I didn't do that and just rebooted.  The system did boot up OK.  I notice that it booted off the source HDD like normal and the SSD is listed as an additional disk in disk mgmt. with all partitions cloned as expected.  But I also want to use the source HDD for additional storage.  Could I not just change the boot order in the BIOS at this point and start booting from the SSD now instead of removing the source HDD?  These are SATA drives so didn't think "physical disk position" matters?

Seems I've avoided the possibility of corrupting either disk by leaving both in the system as mentioned in the thread above.  So I'm wondering what my options are at this point with the goal being boot and run games off the new SSD and using the old drive as additional storage?  If it successfully boots off the SSD just wipe all partitions from the source, etc.?

Thanks in advance.
