ATI 2018 no longer sending notifications
starting a week or two ago program no longer notifies of completed backups. I did not change my settings. Can not even get program to send test message successfully. Any ideas? Thank you.

Gary, when using smtp.gmail.com as the server for your email notifications, then you also need to use TLS with Port 587 because Google dropped support for the older version of SSL that ATI still uses some time ago. You may also need to allow support for less secure applications in your Google account settings.

I found the answer to my problem. I did a Google security check after the update to the new version of Gmail and inadvertently turned off Allow Less Secure Apps. I've turned it back on, and True Image test emails are now working.
Turning on and off Allow Less Secure Apps is found in the Security Checkup section of your Google account.

I had the same problem recently (3-4 weeks ago I guess); email notifications just stopped for no apparent reason. I was able to restart notifications by setting up email in the desktop app but it had previously been updating me via email from a setting on the online dashboard.
I checked the dashboard today and see a notification at the bottom of the page telling me that email notifications will be sent only for the computers that have Acronis True Image 2017 installed.

Steve, thanks for posting your screen shot, it shows me that there is a problem with how the dashboard web page displays in any of my web browsers!
I cannot see the message box at the bottom of the page, the page does not scroll to allow this, and the message is incorrect about notifications only being sent from ATI 2017 systems!
I still have at least one or two active computers with 2017 and do not get any notifications but I was getting them previously from both 2017 and 2018 systems until this issue started.

Steve - I do not use gmail for notifications. I use smtp.live.com the outlook and hotmail server. I didn't change anything. The notifications just stopped.

Gary, the issue is not restricted to just gmail, it is the dropping of support for the version of SSL in use by Acronis. Most host email servers have dropped support for this older, insecure SSL standard.

Set it up as per KB article. Program reports “network error “. On thunderbird the setting is for starttls which is not an option with ATI. Then tried tls if possible setting and it worked.

Gary, the TLS if possible settings basically give you port 587 with TLS which have been working fine for me, so glad to hear these settings work also for you too.
